My love/hate relationship with New York City means I listen to this a lot while I’m walking around sneering at locals. Also wishing I was somewhere with cool people singing cool songs about love. Whatever.
Oh my gosh! Daniel Johnston has a new album out, and it’s all professionally produced unlike his previous lo-fi stuff, so it’s actually pleasant to listen to!
He’s one of my biggest heroes EVER (if you haven’t seen The Devil and Daniel Johnston, go watch it, right now, seriously, do it), but rather than put up his new shit - which is going to be all over the internet anyway - here’s my favorite one of his old songs.

Anyway, the words that make sense are about a lady with horrible anxieties being crazy and worrying that no one likes her. Not that any of us knows anything about that.
